First, DTG printing is not an iron-on style transfer or a vinyl cut-Cricut type process. The DTG process produces high-quality artwork that will stay put for years.
DTG or Direct to Garment is a process of printing graphics onto textiles and garments and for Reverie Apparel, graphic tees. The method uses modified inkjet technology to print whatever graphic you want onto the shirt. Think of it as a giant inkjet printer, but for shirts. DTG printing allows for a lot of variation compared to screen printing. Reverie Apparel's DTG printer can print over 16 million colors directly to your shirt.
Our ink is water-based, eco-safe, dries rapidly, and will soak into your garment to become part of the shirt. Meaning, there’s no chance for the graphic to crack, peel, or wash away over time.
DTG vs. SCREEN PRINTING
DTG printing requires limited set-up time. Screen printing requires you to create individual screens for each color. With DTG, designs are printed in one single pass, no matter the number of colors in your design, which allows us to skip screen creation and get straight to the printing.
The limited set-up means there’s no minimum order, which makes DTG the best choice for smaller orders and makes the cost of printing your tee much lower. You can print a shirt from Reverie Apparel for only 19.99. However, the more tees you order, the lower the price per garment.
